Onalaska Web offers several options to assist you in promoting your site. These include search engine submission, search engine optimization and other promotional techniques.
 Search Engine Submission
We will perform a one-time submission to approximately 18 of the top 22 search engines using their free inclusion form. Some search engines have a paid inclusion form which guarantees inclusion faster, we do not recommend this process. We manually submit your site to these search engines and not use any automated submission software which can cause your site to be blacklisted. We will also find and submit your site to up to 5 regional directories which may exist for your area. This service is included free with all our web design clients.
- Search Engine Optimization
Search Engine Optimization is kind of similar to baking an apple pie without a recipe or better yet tweaking an apple pie recipe until you get the best tasting pie possible. You may know what ingredients are found in an apple pie, but you can not be exactly sure how it will taste until you are done baking it. It is this way with your Website, we can add all the right ingredients but will not know if we have all the right amounts until the search engines pick up the tweaking we have completed. At this point we analyze how well we did, does your site now rank higher or lower? This is the process we go through to get the best ranking we can for your site. We will tweak and analyze your site every other month and provide you with a report of the progress we are making for a period of one year. This plan also includes submission to the search engines after each tweaking. Your Website may not include Flash or frames in its design. We do not guarantee any specific ranking, only that it may improve.
- Link Exchange Program
One of the calculations that many search engines (including Google) use in their ranking formula is Pagerank. To simplify things, this is the ranking of how many sites link to your site. We will set up a link exhcange program for you and find Websites that will exchange links with your site.
